Happy Thanksgiving

From my table to yours...I wish all who visit here a great Thanksgiving!

Be thankful, I am, even if I haven't had a day off (except for Sundays and holidays) since April.
Peace be with all of you.

Main Street Media Still Doesn't Get It

The Lame Stream Media is alive, well and still lying to themselves.

Republicans are still damaged goods? This was a shellacking of epic proportions for Gods sake and the bubble dwellers still don't get it, or don't want to get it.
From John Hinderaker.
The reality is that, seemingly unnoticed, the GOP has assumed the status of a majority party. This didn’t just happen last night; the trend has been underway for years. Nor is it merely the fact that beginning in January, Republicans will outnumber Democrats in the Senate by 54-46. Or that Republicans will control more House seats, probably around 247 compared to 185 for the Democrats, than at any time since the 1920s.
The trend toward Republican dominance is most visible at the state and local level. Next year, 32 states will have Republican governors; only 18 will be governed by Democrats. And Republicans will probably control a stunning 65 of the nation’s 98 partisan legislative chambers, almost exactly double the Democrats’ 33 chambers. In recent years, Americans have shown a clear preference at the state and local level for pulling the GOP lever.
Make no mistake, Tuesday Nov. 4th 2014 was as bad a ass kicking as the Democrats have taken in my lifetime, and I am no spring chicken!

Hapless Harry Is History

Happy Valley has a new resident...

I hope the staff monitors his meds closely, he goes off them frequently.
Oops, Harry must have missed his last dose.
Said outgoing Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid, a Democrat, " The message from voters is clear: They want us to work together."
Keep telling yourself that Harry, the meds will kick in soon...

NY Slimes Tries To Throw Cold Water On Coming Bloodbath

Nate Cohn forgets (intentionally I am sure) this Tuesday will be a total repudiation of Barack Obama and the party that supports him.
Not as good as it seems? Something bloody must be coming...

But perhaps more important to the party’s long-term prospects than Tuesday’s results is what unfolds in the presidential battleground states. If the night ends with tight races in Iowa, North Carolina, Colorado and Georgia, as the polls suggest, then the results will not be as great for Republicans as many analysts will surely proclaim.
If there were a time when the Republicans ought to be making inroads into the Obama coalition, this should be it. The economy remains mediocre in many respects; there is turmoil in much of the world; and the American public is decidedly downbeat about the state of the country under Mr. Obama. His approval ratings have sagged into the low 40s. A significant proportion of Democratic-leaning voters say they disapprove of his performance.
Making inroads? A number in the  House of Representatives not seen since 1928? WTF Nate?
A Senate without a senile old assclown who walks into walls no longer the leader? The lame duck President without any wings at all?
2016 is a long way off Nate...Much like Barack Obama, Harry Reid and Nancy Pelosi...And one hell of a lot of Democrat Senators and Representatives.
Not as good as it seems.

Arizona Visits Dallas

Early Voting

I am going to go vote early today, since I rarely have time for a lunch hour, much less a day off.

With the little man President Obama so proudly claiming his policies are on the ballot, every man and woman running for office in North Dakota (including city and state offices) with a D next to their name will not even get a look from me.
Those folks after all belong to the party that supports him.
