Obamanomics Or Rough Winter To Blame For Shrinking Economy?

My money is on Barry's failed policies.

Joking aside, while the realization that nobody can fight the Fed except a cold weather front, is quite profound, in the first quarter GDP "grew" by a revised -1.0%, down from the +0.1% first estimate, and well below the -0.5%  expected, confirming that while economists may suck as economists, they are absolutely horrible as weathermen. This was the worst print since the -1.3% recorded in Q1 2011.
Bottom line: for whatever reason, in Q1 the US economy contracted not only for the first time in three years, but at the fastest pace since Q1 of 2011. It probably snowed then too.
Barry's buddies in the media came to his defense quickly to blame it on what else? Winter!
I still think the next quarter gives us back to back drops in GDP and that is the technical definition of a recession.
Another recession!
Maybe Barry and his ilk can produce another recovery summer.
What would that be? Recovery summer VII?

Rule 5

The Livable Wage

If your work skills can only get you a burger flipping job, perhaps you should get some other skills...

“I’m here fighting for $15 and a union, so that my path does not become my children’s future,” Melinda Topel, a 43-year-old McDonald’s store employee who makes $7.50 an hour, said in an interview. Topel traveled from Kansas City, Missouri, to protest in Oak Brook.
“We deserve a livable wage,” said Topel, who receives government assistance to buy food. She’s struggling to afford school supplies and shoes for her two kids at home, she said.
Deserve? What did Melinda do to deserve her livable wage? Rely on Government and us taxpayers? Who paid her travel expenses to go protest for $15.00 an hour?

Liar In Chief (still a liar) Lies Again

Barry and his idiots wouldn't tell the truth if they had to.

The Obama administration received clear notice more than five years ago that VA medical facilities were reporting inaccurate waiting times and experiencing scheduling failures that threatened to deny veterans timely health care — problems that have turned into a growing scandal.
Veterans Affairs officials warned the Obama-Biden transition team in the weeks after the 2008 presidential election that the department shouldn’t trust the wait times that its facilities were reporting.
Obama was too busy rubbing his skanky ass on a food counter and stopping traffic for another phony photo-op to be concerned with something so trivial as dying American vets waiting for health care.

I don't care if it starts a race war or another civil war, Obama needs to be impeached and booted right out of office. The man is too dangerous to let stay in office for two more years.
November is not that far off and this is not a  so called scandal...

Turbo Tax Tim And Trader Timing

Looks just a tad suspicious...

Having questioned whether Tim Geithner leaked every Fed announcement to the banks during his tenure (but did not mention it in his memoirs) and shown that traders acted on information at faster than the speed of light (and thus were indeed aware of leaked decisions ahead of time), it should be no surprise that a new research paper has found “robust evidence” that some traders have been getting early news of U.S. Federal Reserve rate announcements and then trading on it during the Fed’s media lockup. The trading anomalies that Bernile and his colleagues spotted begin about 15 minutes before the news embargo is lifted and continue at a fairly even pace and are "statistically significant and in the direction of the subsequent policy surprise."
Read the whole piece. It damn sure makes me wonder if the markets are rigged, and its not for the little guy!

How Insane Does One Have To Be Before They Are Committed?

Hapless Harry is full blown fruitloops.

Charles and David Koch are one of the “main causes” of climate change, charged Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid on the Senate floor.
“While the Koch brothers admit to not being experts on the matter, these billionaire oil tycoons are certainly experts at contributing to climate change. That’s what they do very well. They are one of the main causes of this. Not a cause, one of the main causes,” Reid said.
This one man freakshow is way past his retirement time, he now needs a mental ward.

House To Vote Lerner In Contempt?

About damn time...

The House of Representatives will vote today, Tuesday, at 5 pm on whether to hold former head of tax exempt groups at the IRS Lois Lerner in contempt of Congress. Lerner was voted in contempt by the House Oversight Committee back in April after failing to answer questions from lawmakers. Many argue Lerner waived her Fifth Amendment rights last year because she made an opening statement declaring her innocence before claiming she wanted to remain silent.
If only Ms. smug could be led away in cuffs...

102 Million Working Age Americans Do Not Have A Job

I am appalled by these numbers.

Did you know that there are nearly 102 million working age Americans that do not have a job right now?  And 20 percent of all families in the United States do not have a single member that is employed.
But the unemployment rate just dropped to 6.3 percent? Hello?
According to the government, at this moment there are 9.75 million Americans that are "unemployed" and there are 92.02 million Americans that are "not in the labor force" for a grand total of 101.77 million working age Americans that do not have a job.  Back in April 2000, only 5.48 million Americans were unemployed and only 69.27 million Americans were "not in the labor force" for a grand total of 74.75 million Americans without a job.  That means that the number of working age Americans without a job has risen by 27 million since the year 2000.  Any way that you want to slice that, it is bad news.
The man and his policies have to be stopped.
Come November, vote accordingly.
