I.R.S And Those "Rogue Agents" (Updated)

Good thing there were just a few of them...

Twelve different groups within the IRS targeted conservative organizations applying for tax-exempt nonprofit status, according to the attorneys representing tea party plaintiffs in a class-action lawsuit against the IRS.
The revelation disproves the suggestion by a top congressional Democrat that only one IRS group was responsible for scrutinizing tea party and conservative applications.
Time is up, Boehner needs the boot and Issa needs to call for a special prosecutor.
The entire agency is corrupt.

These I.R.S folks sure like to plead the fifth...

Maybe There Is Something Wrong With The Law?

The blind push to sell Obamacare to the American people...

"If you still don't think Americans are able to understand a law you passed more than three years ago, then there's something wrong with the law -- not with the American people."
Support for Obamacare after three years is losing steam not gaining.
“Obamacare’s popularity has plunged steadily since November, according to monthly polling … by the Kaiser Family Foundation. … statistically tied with its lowest level of support since it passed in March 2010. … The poll … found that just 35 percent of Americans view Obamacare ‘very’ or ‘somewhat’ favorably, down 8 points since Election Day. Only once since the law passed has support run lower … 34 percent …  in October 2011. …

Immigration Disaster

Looks more like WTF!
If this bill becomes law it is the end of America.

CBO projects 16 million new immigrants will be added by 2033 on top of the current law projected flow of 22 million and that 8 million illegal immigrants will be granted permanent status – for a total of 46 million legal immigrants, including a doubling of guest workers to 1.6 million in a single year.
Go deeper in this POS and find the immigrants will do better and the rest of us will take a hit.
[T]he average wage would be lower than under current law over the first dozen years. … CBO estimates that S. 744 would cause the unemployment rate to increase slightly between 2014 and 2020.

Rubio lied.

A Little Monday Music

No One Trusts The Executive Branch

George Will may be right about not trusting the executive branch, but this bill will still be the end of the Republican Party.

“The question of border security is now tangled up with the IRS and the Justice Department and the general, pervasive distrust of the executive branch,” he explained. “Because what the bill says is, ‘The executive branch will certify if the border is secure.’ I don’t believe that the Republicans in Congress are going to take that.”
“They’re going to vote for a bill — or against a bill — whether or not it has ‘Congress shall certify,’ not the executive branch, because no one trusts the executive branch anymore.”

1350 Weeks Of White House Tours

If the vacationer in chief cared a damn about the American people he would stop this side show.

I hope more folks see through this phony family than just George Holding...
Rep. George Holding (R-N.C.) suggested Friday that rather than spend $100 million on President Obama's pending trip to Africa, the administration should fund the White House tours canceled under sequestration.
"For the cost of this trip to Africa, you could have 1,350 weeks of White House tours, which the White House has canceled indefinitely due to budget constraints," Holding said on the House floor.
Holding said with the country more than $16 trillion in debt, the administration should not be looking to spend $100 million on a weeklong visit to Africa.
The man and his wife are grifters, plain and simple.

Global Warming In The Eighties And Nineties A Blip?

Or is today's cooling a blip from the fifties? Confused?
Me too. Not Mark Steyn.

Forced by circumstance to take an interest in the latest developments on the climate-change “consensus”,  I was interested to see this story, in which The New York Times belatedly acknowledges that for the last 15 years it’s been all quiet on the warming front:
It now seems the Times can explain away the dreaded coming ice age of the seventies as being caused by pollution?
Now, here is a crucial piece of background: It turns out we had an earlier plateau in global warming, from roughly the 1950s to the 1970s, and scientists do not fully understand that one either. A lot of evidence suggests that sunlight-blocking pollution from dirty factories may have played a role, as did natural variability in ocean circulation. The pollution was ultimately reduced by stronger clean-air laws in the West.
I thought it was pollution that caused the warming? I guess I will stay confused until the next explanation gets thrown at the wall, something will stick eventually.

Tuesday's Tune

Sebelius Joins The Scandal Shuffle

It appears Ms Sebelius likes to use Obamacare funds for illegal lobbying.

Ever wonder what Kathleen Sebelius does when she isn’t sentencing children to death, shaking down health care providers, or violating campaign finance laws? Well, it seems she spends her spare time, and a lot of taxpayer money, dabbling in illegal lobbying. The Anti-Lobbying Act forbids federal bureaucrats from using money appropriated by Congress to influence “an official of any government, to favor, adopt, or oppose… any legislation, law, ratification, policy, or appropriation.” Sebelius evidently didn’t get the memo.
Specifically, it looks like Madam Commissar and her HHS minions have been using federal money to lobby state and local officials to “favor, adopt or oppose” countless initiatives involving everything from local zoning rules to ordinances concerning tobacco use to the imposition of new taxes on soft drinks. The cash they are thus spreading around comes from an obscure Obamacare trove called the “Prevention and Public Health Fund,” which provides Sebelius with what amounts to $12.5 billion in pin money.
When did billions become walking around money? These people have no shame.
Sebelius must have attended the same "I am above the law" school the rest of Obama's lieutenants did.
I am sure our Congressional watchdogs will have their day with Ms Sebelius, yea right...

Safest Sandwich Shops In America?

I will take a turkey club please...

The sign is posted on the front doors of two sandwich shops and it invites gun owners to come in if they have a permit. But the owner says he had to put up the sign up for reasons that are far from political.
"This is simply an accommodation for people that are legally licensed to carry," said Jim Magers, owner of Schlotzsky's Deli.
He says it's far from a political message, it's a professional one to legal gun owners about safety.
"They don't have to think about leaving their guns in the car where it's less secure and it might become a risk to the public," said Magers.
I doubt there will ever be a robbery at these shops.

North Dakota Just Keeps Booming

Most of us here call it "Rockin the Bakken"

North Dakota's economy posted a 13.4% growth rate in 2012, according to a report released Thursday by the Bureau of Economic Analysis. That's nearly three times as fast as the number two state, Texas, and trounces the national average of 2.5%.
This is the third year in a row that North Dakota took the top spot in BEA's state-by-state report on gross domestic product (GDP). The muscle behind the boom is a surge in oil production from the Bakken Shale, an underground rock formation in the northwestern part of the state.
The only folks in North Dakota who are not working, really don't want to work.

So Many Lies The Liars Can't Remember All Their Lies

Snakes have bad memories...

At a Thursday afternoon press conference, Nancy Pelosi responded to news that, contrary to earlier claims by Barack Obama and Pelosi herself, Obamacare will cause health insurance premiums to rise sharply for many people who purchase their own insurance in the individual market.
"I don't remember saying that everybody in the country would have a lower premium," Pelosi said in response to a question from THE WEEKLY STANDARD. But during last year's presidential campaign, Pelosi said that because of Obamacare "everybody will have lower rates." Pelosi, the House minority leader, made the comment during a July 1, 2012 appearance on Meet the Press:
Where is a falling house when you need one?

Thursday Nite Tart (on Friday)

Should Congress Impeach Eric Holder?

Absolutely Congress should impeach the liar.

Eric Holder -- Obama's Attorney General -- should be impeached by the Republican House of Representatives. Without a doubt, Holder's obvious perjury in lying to Congress is the most serious offense. But to understand one of Holder's underlying offenses (in a long string), one must know the difference between "good law" and "bad law." Under the letter of the law, the search warrant for Fox News reporter James Rosen's emails appears proper. But the Attorney General defied U.S. Supreme Court precedents.
I would not hold my breath waiting for Congress to do the right thing.

Another Title For North Dakota

You have more opportunity to get drunk in a bar in North Dakota than anywhere...

I knew there was a reason people kept moving here.
The people of North Dakota have more opportunity to get drunk in bars than any other state in the country. According to this chart of the number of people per bar in each state created by INFORUM, North Dakota has a bar for every 1,620 people. Congratulations, North Dakota. Your bars are less crowded, or something?
