Another Bubble About To Burst?

Student loans will exceed a trillion dollars...

The amount of student loans taken out last year crossed the $100 billion mark for the first time and total loans outstanding will exceed $1 trillion for the first time this year. Americans now owe more on student loans than on credit cards, reports the Federal Reserve Bank of New York.
Higher Ed. is another entitlement don'tcha know...

The crowd on Wall street forgot to mention this little fact. The real problem is look what we're getting for all that money!

Well my son majored in business and he is paying back his student loans just fine. Those who majored in basket weaving, i.e. women's studies, philosophy, sociology, French Poetry, etc, are going to have a rougher time of it.

HINT: Major in something that can actually get you employed.

Stogie makes a good point but I also believe in doing what you love. If you hate what you do for a living then it is torture. The problem is that for a few decades certain people have propped up college as the only way to make it and promised students a good living if they finished that college degree. This is a farce. In some cases the price of college tuition as skyrocketed and needs to be reformed in some fashion IMO.
